welcome.

"The rest of my life so far..." is the online collection of travel writings and webfiction by Michelle Thomas. It started as a blog - truly, an obsessive, self-aggrandizing collection of words.  After floundering around and begging for attention, the blog became a story. The story of the journey from quarter life crisis, to teaching, to the world.

Although the original ramblings have been removed, the stories remain. "The rest of my life so far..." is a space for the stories, fiction and non-fiction, of adventure, of the road, of the nutter-butter good bits of life that are there waiting out there, if you are brave enough to look for them.

about the author.

Michelle first took her scribbles seriously after some formative training at Grub Street, while living in Boston. She is the lucky winner of the DIY Fellowship, funded by Personal Savings. She has not yet published any of her works of fiction, but hopes to in the near future. Her non-fiction work (i.e., travel writings), based on her time as an expat in South Korea have been called, "insightful", "hilarious" and a "must read" by personal friends, whose opinions she cherishes greatly.

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, she has returned to her home state for the duration of her fellowship. She lived in South Korea for two years as an ESL teacher, a day job she greatly enjoyed. She is childishly enthusiastic about good food, great pandas, natural hair and snow capped mountains. And mangos.
