Should I stay or should I go?

I said, "Mom, I finally told them that I'm not renewing my contract."

She said, "You know they're going to make you an offer."

I said, "Meh. I doubt it. Besides, there's nothing they can offer to make me stay. The public school contract guidelines are pretty strict."

She said, "We'll see."

This morning, my co-teacher said, "So...would you stay for 6 more months? It's not usual, but we can offer you that, because we have our own budget."

I hate it when my mom is right.
