UPDATE: The JP Morgan Corporate Challenge

Since I whined so much about actually going to the JP Morgan Chase CC, I figured I'd let you know how it went. Let's see....Well, first off - I was late. Yeah. Can you believe it? Who shows up late to a city-wide run?
Me, apparently.
To my credit, I didn't know where I was going and I got lost. Although, if I had bothered to read through any of the 20-odd emails Little Boss Lady sent out about the event, I probably would have known. Let's say that I don't know where the State House is after nearly a year of living Boston, and I ended up on State Street.
Which is not where the State House is, FYI.
So I booked it (read: agitatedly strolled) from Government Center down to the Common, then proceeded to waste another 10 minutes trying to find Little Boss Lady (who was all of 10 ft away) in the crowd of runners ALL WEARING THE SAME COLOR SHIRT as our team. Which took my chance of finding my team in a crowd of 12,000 people down to about 0.5%.
Bad luck, I say.
So yeah, I was late. So late, in fact, that we were bringing up the rear. And by "bringing up the rear", I mean I was afraid we were going to get clipped by the EMS trucks that were riding uncomfortably close behind us.
Eventually, we got far enough ahead to have a decent buffer of people between us and the EMS trucks. Thank goodness too, because those guys were jerks. They were clearly bored - they were keeping a distance of all of 4ft behind the last runner/walker. To top it all off - the BEEPED at people if they thought they were going to slowly.
Aside from that though, it was fine. I walked the whole thing along with Little Boss Lady and a newbie work friend. Little Boss Lady hoped off half-way because she's lame...er...I mean, because she was sick. I met up with the rest of the crew at the end of race, and went out for dinner and drinks at Kinsale.
Dinner was my favorite part. But hey - that was to be expected.
